We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

At Beautiful Windows Elgin, your satisfaction is our priority. We provide a 30‑day return window from the day your order arrives, giving you peace of mind as you unwrap your purchase. As a local small business, each piece of our fabric‑ are cut to order, and our readymade curtains are custom‑crafted to your measurements. Because of this, all sales are final. Refunds are only issued if the product is defective, damaged, or if the wrong fabric was sent in error. Please note that we cannot be held responsible for shipping delays or circumstances beyond our control.

Return Policy

Items must be received within 30 days of the original ship date. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs to Beautiful Windows Fabric & Curtains. Once Beautiful Windows Fabric & Curtains receives and accepts the returned item(s), the customer will receive a full refund on the item(s) less delivery.

Unfortunately, Beautiful Windows Fabric & Curtains cannot reimburse the cost of return shipping. Beautiful Window Fabric & curtains will charge a 40% re-stocking fee. To be eligible for return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in the original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. The item(s) being returned must be in the same condition as was sent, including all packaging and instructions. Any item that has been altered (cut, sewn, marked on, laminated, etc.) will not be refunded. If a package is refused or returned by the carrier, return shipping will be deducted from the amount refunded. 

Return Process

To return an item, please email info@beautifulwindowselgin.com for a Return Authorization (RA) number. Have the invoice number from your receipt included in your email. Be sure to repack your item in the same manner as it was sent. You will be held liable for any items that are broken in return shipping due to improper packaging. Please include your RA number inside each package. All returns must be received by Beautiful Windows Fabric & Curtains within 30 days of the original ship date. Returns take 5-7 business days to process after we receive them.

International Returns

European Union 14 day cooling off period.
If merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification.  Your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If you are returning an order internationally, you are responsible for shipping, duties, taxes and brokerage fees. Sometimes these charges are invoiced by the carrier well after returns have been processed. We reserve the right to bill these fees, even after credits for the merchandise is made.

Packages that are refused at delivery outside of the United States will not be accepted by Beautiful Windows Fabric & Curtains. If arrangements for payment and delivery are not made within the carrier’s allotted timeframe (often just a few days), such packages are deemed abandoned and are destroyed by customs. If you refuse a package, you will not receive the goods, and no refund will be made by Beautiful Windows Fabric & Curtains. If you wish to return the goods, you must receive the package and then start the return process with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).

Items That May Not Be Returned

Sale and clearance orders are nonreturnable. Custom-made items, fabric cut by the yard, fabric samples, or any item that has been altered in any way (e.g., cut, sewn, marked on, or, laminated) are not eligible for return.

General Warranties

Products not associated with the Beautiful Windows Fabric & Curtains brand have a 30-day warranty from the shipping date. Should you experience a problem within 30 days of the item being shipped, please contact us by phone, email or create an online support case. Any defective/broken item must be returned to Beautiful Windows Fabric & Curtains before a replacement or repaired item can be shipped to you. 

Beautiful Windows Fabric & Curtains Brand Warranties

Beautiful Windows LLC branded products that do not have a warranty listed on the product page have a 90-day warranty from date of shipping. Should you experience a problem within 90 days of the item being shipped, please contact us by phone, email or create an online support case. Any defective/broken item must be returned before a replacement or repaired item can be shipped. Customers are responsible for shipping charges, both ways. Beautiful Windows LLC liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased.

Exchanges 

Once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new items.  We cannot accept returns on clearance, sale items, gift cards, or items purchased with gift cards.

 Refunds

Once a returned item has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the refund status.  If approved, your original payment method will be refunded within 10 business days.
